Just after 3 a.m. on June 28, 1969, gay patrons of the Stonewall Inn in New York City's Greenwich Village clashed with the police in what many consider the beginning of the gay rights movement.

Today we celebrate the LGBTQ community who led the fight to end harassment, persecution, and homophobic-driven discrimination.
